GigPlate builds and runs booking systems for food trucks, caterers and mobile bars. This page says what we collect when you use this site, why, and who sees it. Questions go to sam@gigplate.com.
What we collect
- What you type into our forms: your name, business name, business type, city, email, phone if you give it, links to your business online, how long you've been operating, roughly how many events you book, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- How you found us: the ad or link you came from (campaign tags in the address, the referring site, the first page you landed on).
- How you use the page: page views, how far you scroll and which buttons you click, through the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics. These set cookies in your browser.
- If you subscribe: your billing details are entered on Stripe's checkout, not on our site. We receive your name, email, plan and payment status, never your card number.
- If you're our customer's customer: when you send a booking request through a page we run for a business, we receive what you submit and pass it to that business. They use it to reply to you.
Why we use it
- To build the free booking page you asked for, and send it.
- To reply to you and follow up about it.
- To run and bill the service if you subscribe.
- To measure which ads and pages work, so we spend less showing ads to people they don't suit.
We don't sell your information.
Who it's shared with
Only the services that run the system, each for its own part:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads): page activity through the Meta Pixel, and when you submit a form or pay, your email, phone and name in hashed (scrambled) form along with the event, so Meta can tell which ad brought you. Meta's use is covered by its own data policy.
- Google Analytics: page activity, to count visits and conversions.
- Stripe: payments and the billing portal.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Vercel and Neon: host the site and store its data.
- Anthropic and DataForSEO: help research your business's public presence and draft your booking page. They see the business details and public links you gave us.
Your choices
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site still works without them.
- You can control ads based on your activity in your Facebook ad preferences and Google's ad settings.
- Email us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We'll do it within 30 days, keeping only what we must for billing records.
How long we keep it
As long as it's useful for the reasons above, and no longer than tax and billing rules require for customers. Ask and we'll delete yours sooner.
